After so many storm-related removals this year, it’s great to be getting lots of cabling and preservation projects. This beautiful River Birch had never been pruned, and was starting to show signs of a potential failure. So we did a detailed pruning to reduce weight, and added dynamic cabling, steel cabling, and threaded rod. And for once, I tried filming without the phone in my teeth. #golocalasheville
3 Threaded Rods, 2 Steel Cables, 2 Dynamic Cables to hold this Elm together after a couple major fractures.
Dedicating this one to the dreamiest, siren song singin-est, sawdust toleratinest, power house tearin down the wallin-est, where’d I be without you-est. No matter how much fun I’m having climbin any tree-a. Can’t wait to be a roadie for the one and only PEIA!! <3 …. @peiabird
More fun cabling with Forrest. Replacing an improperly installed dynamic cable with a steel cable, and adding a new dynamic cable at the proper height.
Willow Creek Nursery’s namesake tree suffered damage in Helene. @forrest.worx Forrest and I installed two steel cables to help keep the tree from falling apart.
Thanks to our sponsors: Good Rigging, Teufelberger, Arbsession, and Sappy Supplies. And to all who have donated to the Gofundme! You’ve made a huge difference in helping us get through this challenging time. <3
Filmed at the WNC Nature Center. Thanks Matias Urrutia with Livingroom Forest
